How It Works
XIII Media aggregates publicly available RSS feeds from established Canadian news organisations — CBC regional bureaus, national papers, local dailies, and specialist publications. We do not produce original journalism. We do not host, store, or modify third-party content. Every headline links directly to its original source.
Feeds refresh automatically every five minutes. Curation is algorithmic — we surface the most recent stories from each section without editorial selection or ranking by prominence.
The Name
XIII Media is published by Mercedonius. Before Julius Caesar reformed the calendar, Rome had a 13th month — Mercedonius, inserted between the official months when the standard calendar had drifted too far from reality. It was the correction the record needed. The month that told you what the official account had missed.
We chose the name because it describes something that should not have been necessary — but was. News that fills the gaps the official calendar leaves behind.
